Meet the Speaker:

Melissa K. Dagodag

Melissa has practiced law for 24 years in Los Angeles and is a member of the California State and Beverly Hills Bar Associations.  She has her own law firm in Beverly Hills, The Law Offices of Melissa K. Dagodag. Prior to becoming an attorney, she graduated from Beverly Hills High School, and later, she earned her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in English from Stanford University and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.  She is a former staff writer at The Stanford Daily and a published poet.  She is also a former Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine School of Law having taught Trademark Law and Unfair Competition.  Melissa’s legal writing has been published in The Daily Journal and the intellectual property legal journal New Matter.  Melissa brings to bear her substantial legal experience in advising her entertainment and creative clients and in drafting, reviewing and negotiating their contracts.  In her spare time, she enjoys digital photography (has shown works at a gallery in Bergamot Station), practicing yoga (certified instructor), songwriting (small music publishing deal), playing pickleball, and volunteering on the Advisory Board of Meals on Wheels West.
